Côtes de Provence White
Historians say that the first vine shoots were planted in the south of France as far back as 600 BC. Since then the vine has become an inescapable aspect of the Provençale landscape. Even if the rosé alone is 80% of our production, the white Côtes de Provence is a particularly delicate wine stemming from a blend of the Rolle and Ugni Blanc vines. With its colour slightly rosé, the Rolle (or Vermentino) is a vine made of freshness, where the aromas of citrus fruits and pear mix and counterbalance to perfection. The Ugni Blanc, a vine originating from Tuscany which makes it possible to achieve a clear and fruity wine offering a slight acidity to taste.
Pale yellow and sparkling in nature, our white Côtes de Provence may be identified by light green clear reflections when tasted. This vintage gives off both a peach and acacia bouquet, which continues with a rounded flavour on the palate. Our white wines are characterized by their suppleness and their remarkable aromatic freshness which go together perfectly with seafood and fish whether grilled and/or in a sauce. They are also highly pleasant throughout the entire year, to accompany an apéritif made up of anchovy paste, fritters of zucchini flower, gazpacho, artichokes à la barigoule or even oriental dishes such as tagines or poultry cooked in the wok. Both fresh and subtle, it is a fragrant wine which is suitable for all occasions.
