Domaine viticole Var

Situated in the heart of Provence, our Domaine Viticole Var wine-growing estate offers a large choice of wines: from the fruity rosé via the subtle white wine and the dense red, there is one for every taste! Mirroring the particuliarly varied landscape of the Provençal terroir, the slopes of the Var produce wines of a singular and unique character seen nowhere else in the world! Having a sunny and warm climate, which is nonethless cooled by the dry mistral wind, vine shoots take root in schist soils acknowledged to produce lighter and finer wines than limestone soils. It thanks to this unique terroir that our wines possess these peculiar characteristics, which shape their identity.

The wine-growing estates of the Var are amongst the oldest vineyards in France. There is ample evidence of this in that Les Tournels is an estate which has been preserved by our family for several generations. Over the course of the years, the owners have taken seriously the need to  rejuvenate the activities of the estate. Currently, the 110 hectares are divided equally between the vineyard and our magnificent campsite. Anchored at the heart of the estate, this open air hotel aim to offer the chance to discover the terroir and to sharing of our wine-growing passion. Please come and discover our distinguished AOC Côtes de Provence grands crus, in our wine tasting cellar!

Our Domaine Viticole Var wine-growing estate is situated within a département reputed for its gourmet and atypical food from the south! Do come and treat yourself to a delicious meal with very colourful Provençal cooking based upon distinct and pronounced tastes. Start your meal with vegetable soup with basil and garlic accompanied by aioli or anchovy purée, followed by our typical dishes such as bouillabaisse or ratatouille. Moreover, for dessert there is nothing better than a Tarte Tropézienne (made of brioche, butter cream and pastry cream), or the famous Pompe à l’Huile (which is flour, olive oil, sugar and orange blossom-based dessert). Remember to accompany these dishes with our various varieties of Côtes de Provence; whether rosés, reds or whites, which blend perfectly with these specialities which have the taste of the south of France!
